FUSION ~ Hello Sunshine ~

Wednesday, May 1, 2013

And 'hello' to you, too!  Getting in under the wire again at Fusion this week!  This was our challenge...

As usual, I had a hard time separating the two, and 'fused' them for my card.  I created a sunny little scene, allowing the sketch, some of Lesley's colors, and the style of the flowers to be my guides...

The cookie cutter looking flowers in the inspiration immediately made me think of the various 'doilies' that came downloaded on my Cricut, so I chose one and layered it on top of a doily I inked up for my sunshine.  The branch is from the Cricut, also.  The little bird is from PTI (Tweet Talk??).  Some day (like in Heaven, maybe) when I'm designing my own stamps;)...a birdie set would be first on my list to create...so many sweet little greetings they could be sharing!  (OK...I won't make you suffer through my daydreaming!)  Thoroughly enjoyed this challenge, once again...so a big thanks to the talented Design Team for offering the inspiration!  I so appreciate Lesley keeping it going!  Thanks for popping in today!  I appreciate it!

  4. Not only do we share the same name, spelled the same way (my birth name is actually Geraldine) but we also think the same....designing a sweet wee birdie set would definitely be the first on my list as well!

You have totally captured 'sunshine' in your card! The colors, the image, the beutiful doily...will warm up even the coldest day!

Do you think that if I gaze upon your pretty card for the next 1/2 hour, some of our snow might melt?

  13. Oh Geri, how cute, love the colors and that little bird is adorable. Our little birds are hiding in the evergreens. 10 Inches of snow and Lots of work, everything is closed down, we are lucky to have electricity.
Thanks for stopping by so many times. Having lots of "Life" things happening with my parents health issues and their house. Have missed my blog and creative spirit time.
Enjoy Spring..Sunshine, love your frequent posts. I'm hoping for all to come my way!
