~hello~

A few things to share today, so I'll get right to it!  First up...a pretty little 'hello', inspired by the anniversary challenge at the Curtain Call that is all but over...

A couple of my favorite colors there!  I die cut my own little 'cubbie' and tucked the colors in/around it using some Simon Says goodies.  Probably kept this one too simple, but it is what it is...

My first time playing along with the Curtain Call...Thanks, ladies for your lovely photo and designer inspiration, and Happy Anniversary!
Next up, two Festive Friday cards.  It's actually mid-challenge time, but I never shared my first card. (still struggling to get that blogging time fit in;)  Here's the inspiration...a white Christmas...

Here's my first card done with a mix of Papertrey goodies...

I thought the neutral colors, the garland and the irredescent sequins fit nicely with the current City Crafter challenge of Christmas in July...

Isn't that pretty?  This is another one I've never played along with, but I know there's a sweet team of gals over there.  My friend, Char, is one of 'em!

Finally, my mid-week challenge card for Festive Friday

We'd love to have you join us there...there's still plenty of time!  Pop on over and see what the rest of the team has created for this challenge!
Thanks for stopping in today!

Hello from Hawaii...

Friday, July 11, 2014

Traveling home from Hawaii today!  Wow…WHAT a wonderful time with the oldest son and his new family!  LOTS of catching up to do, but wanted you to know I have a card up at Precious Remembrance today…last one using the new Oh So Fun set.  Don't have a peek to share…I was in too big of a hurry to be on our way, and took only one picture at home.

I'll share just a few pictures from our trip and let you go…

Jared, the oldest, is stationed near Pearl Harbor, and it was full of HUGE ships from all over the Pacific for a special military exercise during our stay.  This one was from China.  We were seated across the street from it on the 4th at a huge celebration.
When it got dark we watched some amazing fireworks explode over this ship…all to music…some pop, some patriotic.  (When they played 'Happy', there were smiley face fireworks;)  It was CRAZY awesome!!!

Here we all are before the luau.  Jared and his wife on the left…then our big Caleb in his shades…their girls are the darkest headed ones.  Then you'll see my Jilli and Jonah right in front of hubby and me.

And man, oh man…this was a gorgeous stretch of highway.  We got out and adventured a little.  I took this picture from too low a vantage point to show how strong the current was coming in against this shoreline…amazing and beautiful!  Too beautiful for pictures!!!

Don't forget to visit Precious Remembrance if you're interested!
Pray for a safe flight ALL the way home if you would!
Thanks so much for popping in!
