PTI Make it Monday...on a Saturday;)...

Saturday, February 23, 2013

Hello, all!  I was looking around for a little non-holiday inspiration today and got a second look at PTI's MIM challenge...pinwheels.  One of my favorite posts EVER was all about pinwheels, HERE.  How could something so easy be so CUTE?!?  And I'm always inspired by Ashley's creations, so I jumped on in with some of my own felt pinwheels!  Love the trim she added to the edges...had to try that!  The only thing I had that I thought was small enough to work for it was my pinking shears...

This felt is a very similar color to PTI's Ocean Tides (but I only had a tiny dab of that left!). The lesser expensive felt I've found is good for extra color choices, but not nearly as thick and nice as my PTI felt!!!  The cream felt I usually try to keep on hand is from JoAnn's.  The gold and green are PTI's Harvest Gold and Simply Chartreuse.  I've also used some of their buttons, the Heart 2 Heart flower die...

...an empty twine spool, Rustic Cream cardstock...

...and a sentiment from Star Prints...

...not to mention a few other odds and ends.  I added in a few splatters at the bottom from a Precious Remembrance set.  The card is kind of a mini...about 3.5 x 4".  I wanted to keep it in proportion to the standing pinwheel...thought they would make a cute set as a surprise on a desk, nightstand, etc...
Better get this linked up.  A trip to Pizza Hut and Walmart has me behind!!!
Thanks for stopping in!

Checked out your first pinwheel post and they are all SO CUTE! The little polka dot fella on the card stole my heart!!! Have a blessed Sunday ;)

  10. A trip to Pizza Hut and Walmart - sounds like a good day out to me ;) We actually do have PH here and it's our likely pick when I go to lunch with DS or DD. I love this set you created - you make the most beautiful ensembles.

  12. I just saw where one of my friends (Sharron above) had pinned this to one of her boards and thought it was so cute. Lo and behold it's yours! LOL I totally understand why she pinned it. The felt just makes things extra special. Love these Geri. You never disappoint me. :-) Hugs!
