Yes...you need to include a star in your project! I had to fuss around with this one for a bit, only to come up with somewhat of an 'understated' design...
This one was hard to photograph! I've used PTI's Rustic Cream cardstock...it has a real creamy, warm look that certainly doesn't show here. There's a sliver of cream glitter paper at the bottom of the gray panel, and that darker gray panel is framed in by a pale gray one. And that little star...it's an oldie!!! Probably one of the first clear sets I ever bought!
Hope you'll join us with some starry creations of your own! If you need more inspiration...just head over to the blog...the rest of the designers never disappoint! It's fun to watch the list of participants grow as it gets closer to the holidays!
Next I have a peek of a brighter, bolder Christmas card...
You'll find the rest of this one using the new Holiday Wishes set at the Precious Remembrance blog!
Thanks so much for stopping today!
Geri
I was so excited to pop over to see your new creations..since it's Friday, I figured there would be something wonderful to behold. And how true that was! I SO love the way you think, girl! You have such a unique perspective that I absolutely adore! LOVE your take on the star challenge. Awesome use of neutrals with just the right amount of wow factor from the pearls and glitter. LOVE!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful card, Geri! That sentiment is gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous - it reminds me of the Christmas song Still, Still, Still. Lovely!
ReplyDeleteJust wonderful, Geri! It may be CAS but its a stunner! Love it! :-)
ReplyDeleteLove the things you do! Both so pretty, Have a lovely weekend, enjoy some great fall weather.
ReplyDeleteAwwww I think it's a perfect little star! Love the sprinkled pearls too!
ReplyDeleteYes I believe....in your amazing ability to bring beauty and elegance to a clean and simple card. The scalloped bottom is the perfect stage for that gorgeous swirly sentiment!
ReplyDeleteThis is gorgeous - the colours, the serene feeling, the pearly stars - perfect!
ReplyDeleteI loved the simple, elegance of the little star on the Believe card. That says it all! I like the way you use the different borders on the other stamp set to create a unusual effect. Of course, I too, would have to cover the point where they come together!!!!! Enjoy this weather.
ReplyDeleteThat idea of a little star makes ur card look so real :) as if I am looking right into the beautiful starry sky
ReplyDeleteThere's nothing understated about this. It's beautiful. Always crisp, clean, and neat as a pin. Hugs!
ReplyDeleteSuch a peaceful card - had to recheck what the sentiment (absolutely gorgeous) actually said. The card speaks "PEACE" to me.
ReplyDeleteSo so pretty!!
ReplyDeleteI love the starry sky you created with the pearls and the sweet star stamp! A lovely card! And I am off to check out your PR card in full! :)
ReplyDeleteTwo beautiful cards! Love the first card - simple but elegant!
