Now those colors have never been my pick, but I was forced to put them together once before and was pleasantly surprised at the results, so I enjoyed them this time around! And I did just stick with the colors/photo inspiration this time...no sketch for me (but you should see what some of the team has done with that sketch!!!)…
Used my PTI Doodlie-do set and put the main colors in my big bloom. Then allowed some pretty golden stripes (inspired by the bag) to serve as the background…
And I guess that's about all there is to say about it! EXCEPT that the team has SO much more inspiration...lovely, LOVELY inspiration for you at the FUSION blog to help get you inspired and ready for this new challenge! You'll find winners of the previous challenge at the blog today, too! So...I say...git on over there and git ta craftin'!!!
And...thanks so much for stopping in!

ReplyDeleteI am so excited to see your example of the Doodlie Doo stamps Geri...that is such a cute stamp set and I love that you used the angled piece of paper with it. Very cute card!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous card, Geri!
ReplyDeleteYou really nailed the colors but I have to tell you the layout is what really jumps out at me. I am a huge fan of Alice Wertz and she has done lots of cards with the wonky panel shape like this. I LOVE it! It just reaches out and grabs your eyes, Your creation is just as striking Geri girl. Hugs!
ReplyDeleteGeri, looking at this card, I would have NEVER GUESSED you didn't absolutely love working with these colors. Love how you didn't color all the sections in the leaves. And the stripes pointing to your flower ... so well designed : )
ReplyDeleteI love how u were inspired by the different elements of the photo, I like how the angled flower coordinates with the BG and the coloring on the petals is so pretty :)
ReplyDeleteLOVE the angle cut of your focal panel and how you let the flower drape over the edge just a bit. The yellow striped paper is the best (yellow is such a happy color!). Pretty little bits of sparkle in the center of the flower!
ReplyDeleteSuch a nice way to warm up our -46C windchill temps!!!
