2 for 1 Friday...Precious Remembrance Peek and Festive Friday Mid-Challenge Inspiration...

Friday, April 5, 2013

Hello, friends!!  So happy to be here with a couple creations today.  After a long bout with a respiratory virus, I'm on the mend.  And some recent crafty time has proven to be good therapy.  Not to mention, a big ole dose of sunshine, and temp's yesterday very near 60!!!  Could it be that Spring has finally sprung?!?!?  One can only hope!
OK...so here's a peek of a fun project for the Precious Remembrance shop using the new Mom and Dad set and the emboss resist technique...

Hope you'll go check it out...I had fun experimenting with it!  The next project is for the current Festive Friday challenge using the pretty non-traditional colors of aqua, blush and gold.  Had to add some trendy sequins to this one for fun...

And I used some oldie-but-goodie paper on it, too...

My little scene uses a PTI Love Lives Here house, and the trees are from a My Time Made Easy set.  Head on over to the blog if you're interested in more details on this challenge.  There's still a week left for it, and the DT and participants have lots of pretty projects to share using these colors!  And don't forget the Precious Remembrance blog if you're interested in that project!!

Thanks so much for stopping in today!
~Geri~

  2. Checked out both cards in full and they are beautiful. Love the emboss resist technique. Nice vibrant colors. Spring has sprung here in Colorado also. The bluebirds are back and looking forward to seeing the hummingbirds arrive later this month. Take care!

  5. Just checked out your PR card...girl it is' out of this world!! And the PTI Love Lives Here house has always been a fav of mine. Sorry to hear you've been under the weather for a while. Seems to be a bad one that hangs on for those who get it. YAY for sunny warm days, maybe spring is finally on it's way ;)

  6. Cutting your emboss/resist card into four panels was inspired. It really helps the eye travel all around those luscious colors. Your Christmas card made me stop, with my mouth hanging open for two minutes, as I marveled at the perfect color and composition of it. Drop dead gorgeous. If your cards weren't already so awesome, I'd say, "Up with viruses". (Good thing I know better. :)) (Why does an emoticon always seem to want to be where there is already enough punctuation activity?)

I'm so glad your feeling better, and I'm happy to hear that spring is coming to the nation's victory garden.
