a ~sweet~ nudge...

Wednesday, October 31, 2012

Hello, everyone!  Hope you're enjoying a great Wednesday, and maybe sneaking a little craft time in!  On  every other Wednesday at the Creative Paper Trade, we introduce a new 'Paper Nudge' challenge.  Today we're 'nudging' you to use this photo to help you incorporate hearts into your project...

I've chosen the colors of our current 'Color My Week' challenge and a sweet image from our sponsor, Paper Sweeties, in my project...this is little Abigail...

She IS a sweetie!  I've also used felt with some MFT dies and a little Maya Road spool in that little cluster of embellishments.  For the rest of the card, I wanted to keep it kind of clean and simple...

And I think that'll do it!!!  Our third dose of inspiration for this round will be introduced on Friday, and you will then have the following week to create away,...as many times as you would like, with whatever products you choose.  Then link them up for a chance to win two sets from our sponsor, Paper Sweeties!

Please forgive my lack of visiting for the next few days.  I am so behind, but I am also sick, and exhausted from a long string of projects and commitments that will wrap up on Saturday,...when Halloween costumes are once again a thing of the past, and my son's journey through his first year of marching band will have come to a close with the final, state contending performance.  I'm so very proud of him and the rest of the band.  They have worked so very hard...

Caleb, in the middle, above...
and on the right below...
You know how when you're really tired, your emotions are like...right at the surface and you cry at the drop of a hat???...yeah...that's what I'm doing right now.
I could use your prayers for some energy and better health to get through it all with a smile;) (and that I can quit CRYING!!!;)
Thanks so much for dropping in and putting up with me!
~Geri~

  5. If I could I'd give you a big hug right now. Hang in there kiddo. Everything will work out and then you can breath. I can sympathize. Even after quitting two DT's I still can't seem to catch up. Life is just so busy. Running households, choir practice, stuff your kids need---seems like we never get any down time. I have faith you will triumph. :-)
Your card is precious. I love the little spool and felt flowers. Putting you on the Prayer List Post It note I have stuck on my puter monitor sweetie. Hugs!

Love the band pictures,my dad was a musician, playing clarinet, alto and tenor sax. Sooooo I HAD to play the alto and it just came home with me while cleaning out their house.

  7. Oh my friend... I know exactly how you feel. We've all been sick for WEEKS around here, and my brother was here for some of it dealing with my mum for awhile, so I've been where you are for the last while!! And I don't have to be tired and sick to cry at pictures of my children that make me proud!

I hope you feel better soon, especially if things are slowing down for you.

Beautiful card, as always, by the way ;)
