Challenge: The Shabby Tea Room - Christmas in July

Sunday, July 18, 2010

This card is for The Shabby Tea Room's "Christmas in July" challenge. I've paired up some of my favorite colors with one of my most favorite things about Christmas: Music!! (I start listening to it more than a month before, and hang on to it for at least a month after. I always hate for it to end.) I layered some Paper Studio and My Mind's Eye papers on PTI cardstock with the Spellbinders Labels 1 die. I also used a Spellbinder die for the snowflake that is the 'o' in JOY. A friend cut the 'J' and 'Y' to fit with her Cricut.

Lots of edge-inking, some stitching, spritzing, glittering, and a few tiny embellishments was all wrapped up. Merry Christmas in July, everyone!

  1. Beautiful! I really like the soft colors, the vintage feel to the music paper, and the snowflake in JOY...lovely!

  2. How pretty this is! I absolutely love the sheet music paper and the seam binding bow. The layered die-cuts are wonderful and how pretty is that snowflake you used for the "O". Thanks so much for playing along with us at TSTR.

  3. I really really need you to post something every day, as you just keep me wanting more, more more !!! This is so perfect. I can imagine opening this at Christmas time, and really feeling the "JOY" !!

  4. Lovin' this! The layers and the edging add so much interest, and I love the sparkly snowflake "O"! So pretty!
