Hello all! Popping in with a quick post for PTI's monthly blog hop with this photo inspiration...
Pretty colors, huh? And I love florals...AND...I haven't participated for so long...so here goes...
I actually re-purposed one of my favorite hand-made flowers...it was previously on a card that I liked but hadn't invested much time in (the flower took the longest), with a sentiment I knew I'd never use. And the colors worked...
Then I created a little background piece with the smaller Beautiful Blooms and Turning a New Leaf images...sad to say I don't have any of PTI's newer floral images...
At the bottom I used the matching larger images, stamped the sentiment, and ran it through the Cuttlebug with the Woodgrain impression plate. I now wish I would have stamped the lower images kind of off-set and up the side of the right-hand corner instead of all the way across. Ran out of time to fix it though...had a big sleepover here last night! But that's OK, I'm good with it!! Hope I can find some time to hop around!
Thank you to whoever had the time to stop in here!!
Enjoy your visits!
~Geri~

ReplyDeleteOh, I LOVE it!!!! I had initially planned to use this set too, since it's the only floral I have (until the Sweet Life gets here!), too. I LOVE this one - even if it is old. Your card is so SO perfect - I love the scale of both the patterns - how you created them to coordinate. I love the way you stamped along the bottom of your card... and I can't figure out how you made that flower, but I know I want to figure it out!! BEAUTIFUL, my friend!

Hi. Love your card. I think your flower is felt. I really like how you sponged it with a different color. I used felt flowers on my card and next time I will try your idea.
ReplyDeleteAdorable card. I really, really love these colors. Great job and the little felt one is so pretty. We went to a special "Rain" prayer service tonight, came out of church to thunder, lightening but the storm went around us and left us with no hail, no high wind and no rain. Lots of damages south of here. I only hope now our well doesn't dry up.
ReplyDeleteCattle's pasture is bare, so buying bales to get them and their calves through.
Thanks for stopping by, enjoy what's left of summer and have fun with the kiddos.
super pretty card!
ReplyDeleteYour card is so lovely! I truely like the bottom flowers just as they are and your felt flower is so beautiful.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous~!
ReplyDeleteUnbelieable!
ReplyDeletePerfect!
ReplyDeleteLove,love,LOVE!! :)
Stunningly Beautiful! The texture in your design makes me want to rub my hand over my computer screen. The blush on your felt flowers is an awesome idea - is that regular dye ink?
ReplyDeleteWow, Geri! This is beautiful!! I so love every little detail here! I think the flowers look fabulous going across the bottom like you did, and love the embossing, too. Stunning felt flower. Amazing stamping! Everything is gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteOne of the prettiest cards I've seen (and that's quite a few!). The touches of ink? at the tips of your felt flower make it a show stopper. Everything about this card is perfect - sorry - there's no room for improvement! (You also make me want the 'Blooms II' set of stamps.)
ReplyDeleteGeri! I love, love, love this!!!! Beautiful!!! Thanks for the inspiration! :)
ReplyDeleteyour re-purposed flower is just perfect here, Geri. I love all of the elements and details ~ simply gorgeous card!

ReplyDeleteYour card is gorgeous. Love that felt flower and the embossing.
ReplyDeleteThe variations in density of the stamped flowers, the embossing and the felt flower were brought together beautifully. The card is worthy of the handmade flower.
ReplyDeleteGeri your card is soooooo lovely! I just love the stamping you did at the top and bottom with the woodgrain embossing! And your flower is gorgeous! I love how you made the petals! I will have to try this! :)
ReplyDeleteOh no! You do not need to change a single thing about the stamping on this card. This is gorgeous Geri. That flower really does go perfectly with the ink colors you've used for the challenge palette. So delicate and lovely. Sweet perfection my friend! Hugs!
ReplyDeleteGeri, I can not believe you think you needed to "redo" ANY of this card! OMG....This is stunningly beautiful Geri! Such a great display of these colors!
ReplyDeleteI haven't had time before this to go on this Hop...your card is so lovely! Feminine, soft and absolutely gorgeous colors and stamping!
ReplyDeleteI love this card! All of them for that matter!
ReplyDeleteJust had to let you know this is one of my all-time favorite cards; I wouldn't change one single thing!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous card! Love the stamped flowers just as they are. Which die made the flower...its super cute!!!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much! The flower was made from PTI's Beautiful Blooms #1 die! The back flower was cut and used 'as is'. The top layer was another one, with the petals cut apart and a little stitch run through the bottom of all of them so I could gather them up a bit for more dimension. Hope that makes sense.
DeleteVery cute AND inspiring!
