…so that's what I went with…very simple elements that I hope capture the festive feel of the upcoming holiday…
I just used Spellbinder dies to frame in my little banner scene. The stamping and banner arranging was done on a separate little rectangle in case I messed up…and I did;). I sponged just a little blue ink around the edges of that rectangle before stamping the banners. Then all the banners but the front row were stamped off once to make them a little less vivid and hopefully add to the depth of the scene. The frame is popped up with foam adhesive for that same purpose. You can see a touch of silver in the one of the embossed banners and the sentiment. The sentiment and tiny banners can be found in the new Oh So Fun set.
You can head over to the blog for the rest of the inspiration…that's where I'm heading now!
Enjoy your holiday!!!

ReplyDeleteYour festive little banner scene is adorable, Geri! I love how you stamped the swags to look like they are receding. That and the popped up frame add a real sense of depth and dimension that I just love. Really love how you pieced the background papers, too. Really fabulous!
ReplyDeleteWhat a fabulous look as these banners fade into the distance!!
ReplyDeleteHas marching season started for you yet? My youngest marcher is horrified as we are visiting the pediatric orthopedist tomorrow for what looks to be an ACL tear. If he can't march, I don't look forward to the next four months!!
I've never seen patriotism look so pretty. All those little banners are so cute. I can just imagine them fluttering in the wind. Hugs!
