A few odds ~n~ ends to share today...several cards...all very different, and for very different occasions. I needed a "thank you" for a friend and pulled out some favorites... pretty patterns and colors from October Afternoon...
(This one goes out to Michelle. She makes me a sugar cream pie each year for my birthday. Yummy...my favorite!) Next, this month's card for the nursing home...they got to choose the sentiment to go on the pretty Happy Day frame from Papertrey...
They also got to help stamp their own background, but I found this was a little much for them and will keep it a little simpler next time.
Next was a card using some pretty K & CO die cuts...
I kept it fairly simple but liked how it came together...
Lastly, a wedding card for the grandson of my sweet neighbor. She wanted something different than what she was finding at the stores, and remembered a vintage Halloween card I made her last year. She's passing down a special heirloom as a gift, so I didn't think she would mind something with a vintage feel again...
The wedding colors are burgundy and cream, so I thought of my Simple Stories papers, and was pleased to find a sweet little panel to work up this card...
And I think that's it for today. So happy you could stop in! Hope you're enjoying a great weekend!!
Geri

ReplyDeleteSo glad to find a new posting this evening. I liked all of the cards but i truly LOVE the wedding card you did for Jean's grandson. I'm sure she loved it too!! Enjoy your weekend!!
ReplyDeleteOh, my. So glad to see that you've been busy creating some beautiful cards. They're all so different, yet each is lovely - and, I think it's so sweet that you bring such beauty and creativity to the residents of the nursing home. How they must look forward to your visit. [I have to say that I'm partial to the last two cards you posted, though. Love the K&Co die cuts you used along with the partial paper doily and your bow/button is gorgeous, and really love the vintage feel of your wedding card (especially the way you put the key on).
