Happy Sunday, everyone!  Not my usual day for posting, but there's something special going on at Precious Remembrance today.  All of the designers have 4th of July inspiration waiting for you there.  I love all the flags and banners that will be be on display in our small town this week…in backyards and down the streets...

…so that's what I went with…very simple elements that I hope capture the festive feel of the upcoming holiday…

I just used Spellbinder dies to frame in my little banner scene.  The stamping and banner arranging was done on a separate little rectangle in case I messed up…and I did;). I sponged just a little blue ink around the edges of that rectangle before stamping the banners.  Then all the banners but the front row were stamped off once to make them a little less vivid and hopefully add to the depth of the scene.  The frame is popped up with foam adhesive for that same purpose.  You can see a touch of silver in the one of the embossed banners and the sentiment.  The sentiment and tiny banners can be found in the new Oh So Fun set.

You can head over to the blog for the rest of the inspiration…that's where I'm heading now!
Enjoy your holiday!!!

Head over to the blog if you want to get in on this one!

Also, there's a pretty little pink number over at the Precious Remembrance blog if you care to see more…

Keepin' it short and sweet for ya!

Hey, everyone! There's a new challenge up and waiting at the Festive Friday blog with this photo for your inspiration...

What a fun photo!  The colors look beautiful together, but I tend to give cards in a little more traditional color scheme.  So I went with the fun 'Joy to the World' banner on the wall.  That's probably one of my all time favorite carols anyway.

I had fun with this little guy from my Winter Frolic Cricut cartridge.  And while this card is not my usual style, it was a joy to make!

(I wish the photo did justice to the touches of glitter and his shiny gold wings.)
I probably didn't see all the DT members cards, but I did get a peek at Ardyth's and Kay's, and I'm tellin' ya...they're just beautiful!  If you've never visited the Festive Friday blog, you should...the rest of the gals are so talented!  And our faithful participants already have a healthy stack of Christmas cards ready to go!  We'd love to have you join us!
Thanks so much for popping in today!
You can find out about a give-away of a cute new set (going on until Sunday) HERE.
Better check that out!!!;)
Have a great weekend!

~a FUN new set from Precious Remembrance (and a give away!)~

Wednesday, June 18, 2014

Hello, friends!  I'm here today sharing the news of a new Precious Remembrance set called, Oh So Fun

And it is a fun one!  I like the two different sizes of jars this set offers and those fun little banners.  I felt the need for a little fussiness with this card (and I enjoyed every minute of it!).  I created a little label using a PTI die and one of the little sentiments included…

I liked the result of stamping it twice, and cutting and layering there.  I've strung some banners in the background of my card and have my pretty jar full of posies as the star of the show…

That's some MME paper I've used for the jar and flower embellishments, and a dab of Simple Stories paper under it (blue gingham).  I thought those colors were nice and summery.

You have a chance to win this set!  You may have come here from Kim's blog and the hop at Precious Remembrance.  If so, I'm your last stop.  If not, head to the PR blog now to get all the details and to get started.  Either way, be sure to leave a comment at Precious Remembrance when you're finished visiting the rest of the designers, and you may be the lucky random participant to win this set! You have until Sunday to make your rounds.   Good luck!!!  Thanks so much for stopping in today!

~School's Out…School's Out!!!~

Friday, June 13, 2014

Hello friends!  So nice to be back on this ole blog!  It's been more than a month since I posted…YIKES!!!  Having had to step away for awhile, I had the chance to realize just how much time I was spending here...which was way too much!  While I'm making it a priority to change that, it sure is nice to be back, and I sure have enjoyed having a little crafting time since school's been out.
I have several cards to share.  Hope you don't mind, but I feel that posting several at one time saves me posting time and saves you visiting time!!!;)  The first is a card for the mid-way point of the current Festive Friday challenge

Sweet inspiration, isn't it?
Here's my card...

I used a mix of Papertrey and WPlus9 there.  You still have time to get in on this challenge!

Next is the card I made for the last challenge that I never had a chance to post.
The poinsettia was cut with my Cricut.

I needed a few graduation cards for some kids at church, so this is what I came up with using some Papertrey goodies...

Finally, just a fun summery card.  (I was itchin' to stamp some flowers!;)

Those blooms are from Papertrey, and the sentiment from Avery Elle! I would like to link up my inspiration for this card, but my computer is not cooperating.  I'll try again later tonight!
(Added:  Here's Heather's card!)
I won't keep you, but I thank you so much for stopping in today…hope you've enjoyed your visit!
